What the evidence supports
Adan and colleagues review circadian typology and individual differences in timing, including morningness-eveningness and associated differences in sleep, alertness, and performance-related measures.
What it does not establish
This does not mean chronotype is completely fixed, that it determines performance in every context, or that one schedule is biologically correct for each person.
Context
The book uses chronotype to resist universal scheduling claims and, in Chapter 31, to show why longer working lives should not assume one optimal daily timing.
