What the evidence supports
Chafin et al. found faster blood-pressure recovery after brief post-stress exercise in a randomized experiment. Morava et al. systematically reviewed 31 studies and found reliable reductions in blood-pressure and cortisol reactivity, mostly negligible heart-rate effects, and negligible self-report effects.
What it does not establish
The evidence does not establish that all movement accelerates recovery, that subjective stress reliably improves, or that exercise is always the right first transition after psychological load.
Context
The public claim is narrower than the manuscript because the cited evidence concerns acute exercise rather than movement in general.
